Boxing gloves represent physicality and legalised use of violent power. Schroderus' boxing gloves, however, would not survive even one round: the fabric would not withstand sweat, let alone blows, and the filling is made of down. The gloves would blend in better with the pattern of a grandmother's sofa or romantic wallpaper.
